On 04/17/10, Sergeants
Brian
LaRosa and Brian Metzler were conducting an
undercover "Cops in Shops"
operation on Broadway when they observed an
individual purchasing alcohol who appeared to be too young to do so.
As the individual exited the store with his purchase, he was stopped by
the officers who requested ID. The individual handed the officers
a Delaware drivers license, which was determined to be fictitious. The 18-year-old male from
Glen Rock was arrested and
charged with
underage possession of alcohol and possession of a fraudulent document. He
was planning to bring the 6 cases (180 cans) of beer to a party in an
unknown Glen Rock location.........the beer never made it to the
party..........
